My Venus return is coming up soon, now that Venus has plunged back into the oceanic depths of Pisces. I’m pretty familiar with this cosmic combo on both the giving and receiving end of its blessings. Some fun Venus Gays lore for you: My fiancé’s Venus is also in Pisces, only 1º away from mine. 💕
Venus is one of the best versions of herself here, as Pisces is traditionally the sign of her exaltation. This transit isn’t all sparkles and rainbows, however. For this year’s iteration, Venus will be co-present with Saturn in Pisces throughout the entirety of her swim.
This celestial commingling asks us to take off the rose-colored glasses and find appreciation for what’s really in front of us. The waters we’re navigating during this time might feel a little chillier than normal, but don’t let that deter you from taking this cleansing plunge. Let’s dive in together.
I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but the pop music girlies are really into Saturn these days. It makes sense: Most of them have recently gone through their Saturn returns. These hit singles included, the sheer amount of Saturnian references in pop culture lately has sparked a question for me: Why is Saturn on everyone’s mind right now?
I think there are as many answers to this question as there are astrologers. But from where I’m sitting, it seems like Saturn in Pisces is encouraging a sobering and collective maturity session for all of us. Having Venus here for a little while sweetens the deal, reminding us of the connective power of emotional, physical, and spiritual maturation. When we grow individually, we increase our capacity to grow together.
Here’s a complete list of Venus’ movements in March:
Monday, March 11: Venus entered Pisces
Thursday, March 21: Venus conjoins Saturn in Pisces
Sunday, March 24: Venus in Pisces sextiles Jupiter in Taurus
Thursday, March 28: Venus in Pisces sextiles Uranus in Taurus
Pisces energy is all-encompassing, representing both the beginning and end of life. It’s the primordial water from which everything originates. In this deeply spiritual, empathetic place, Saturn reminds us of both our mortality and humanity, while Venus encourages us to find the beauty despite the pain. We all have to grow up, and that often sucks — but if we can accept what has to change, grieve past versions of ourselves, and learn to ride life’s emotional waves, we’ll be so much better for it.
As Venus moves through Pisces and gets closer to its conjunction with Saturn later this month, think about how you can work through any personal challenges with compassion for yourself and the people around you. Remember, we’re all just doing the best we can with the tools we have.
